It takes a village to spark a Revolution... Here's what our customers have to say about it!

"I went to Revolution in White River Junction, VT today for the first time expecting to find one or two items on sale and be out of there in a few minutes.

Well that plan went right out of the door and into the street within minutes of arriving. I walked into the store and within minutes I found great pieces at ridiculous prices.

Then - Ann and Kim assisted me, found clothes in the store & pulled from a new shipment for me, and offered espresso (or cappuccino - I can't remember - I was having so much fun shopping).

And let me tell you is was not that horrible, hanging over your shoulder, forcing things on you or spying because they think you're trying to stuff a pair of earrings in your purse "assistance" that the big stores give you. It was the GOOD kind of assistance.

I tried on things I had not even looked at and they were fabulous. These feministas know they're fashion.

Revolution is a revelation! Yes I said it.

At one point I saw Kim holding someone's baby (while the mom was in the dressing room), ringing a sale, coordinating merchandise AND apologizing for not getting someone their coffee.

Amazing. Yes, I said it, again.

AND when I was done, one of the associates helped me to my car w/my bags.

What?

I will be back and back and back again". - Patty Keough, Winchester, NH

"On Friday, I had about 11 minutes to find a dress for a Christmas party that night (either that, or wear my frumpy "fat" black skirt).  I walked in to Revolution and of course, there it is.  Perfect color.  Perfect price.  Perfect!  I did wear the red dress, and I must say, I felt great in it!  I just love you & your store!  I and everyone who knows you appreciates how you've made Revolution & White River Junction such a great place!" - Joni Cole, White River Junction, VT

"Revolution is my favorite store in the whole world for the following reasons:
- Always interesting merchandise - it's an adventure to shop there.
- Clothes which are interesting AND wearable AND affordable. A difficult combination to achieve.
- The combination of vintage, indie designer, locally made and rebuilt is unbeatable.
- LOVE the espresso bar
- Feels like home
- Very community minded - not just concerned with the bottom line
- Great people work there" - Julie Strawitz, Norwich, VT

"Revolution is a PEACE maker for it creates positive community---ALL are welcome. I see the store as fearless in being its own unique self. It's fun. It's alive. It's creative. It is timeless." - Karen Coombs, Hanover, NH

"I remember the first time I went to Revolution. It was the first First Friday, a gorgeous Vermont summer's evening. The sky was pink, the sun was setting, and I was breezing through colorful dresses and golden shrugs on racks outside the storefront, tunes from a dj spinning in the shop window spilling out the door. It was a little piece of funky bliss in this otherwise buttoned-up community!" - Sara Owen, Hanover, NH

"My home burned recently. I don't know exactly how to explain how that feels... 'lost' comes to mind. The Revolution community has very graciously filled a dark hole with kindness, compassion, and a gentle love that I have found so nurturing. That is the underlying force that I felt the first time I came through the door, and I have consistently found that to be the base line of a way-hip crew. Thank you for who you are and what you do." - Cisco Delfuego, Randolph, VT

"When I get homesick and depressed with the horrible fashion in the upper-valley, Revolution is the only store that can cheer me up and make me realize that fashion is alive and well in Vermont." - Joelle Ferron, Hanover, NH

"I've only been to Revolution one time, but it made a big impression on me, and I've been dying to go back ever since. First of all, I got a sweet pair of pink Diesel pants for only 5 dollars during an awesome sale. There were also some really cool people around, great clothes, good live music, and some delicious free apple tasting going on. And I got a free cappuccino which I enjoyed, even though I hate cappuccinos, because it was free. I'm from Las Vegas, and I love shopping at thrift stores around town and going to Vegas First Fridays, and when I moved to Hanover I thought the area was lacking all of the cool clothes and art I loved in Vegas. I was wrong. I found it all in White River Junction and at Revolution. So thanks, Revolution, for keeping the upper valley looking good, making it more fun, and supporting art!" - Danny Gobaud, Dartmouth College, Hanover, NH

"I like Revolution's new look. The store looks great. very stylish and welcoming. I also love the awesome clothes made by real people. Clothing made by local artisans may cost more than clothes found in other stores, but 1) if you have a few extra bucks, spend them to support a real person and 2) those other clothes are cheaper because children and prisoners of war are making them and 3) the clothes at Revolution are truly unique. Good luck finding them elsewhere!

On a personal level, I am happy there are a few plus-sized garments there, and I encourage you to carry more. It's really hard to find interesting clothing when you are a fat woman (size 16 and up), and we tend to avoid stores where we know nothing will fit us. Why bother? Size 8 women wouldn't shop for their clothes in a children's store, would they? If Revolution gets the reputation as a place where fat women will have shopping success, they will be happy, they will come back, and they will tell their skinny and their fat friends! We fat women usually run in packs :-D" - Wendy Levy, Brattleboro, VT

"Revolution is the watering hole for the Upper Valley's artists, poets, writers, and dreamers. I try to find excuses so I can drop by and talk to Kim. The Upper Valley has a little more magic because of her." - Daniel Weinreb, White River Junction, VT
